Our IT team sent out AI usage surveys across the GracoRoberts family of brands to better understand how employees view AI tools, where they see opportunities, and where potential risks exist.
Recent feedback highlighted growing interest in everyday AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude. Employees see significant potential for AI to improve productivity and support daily work, but they also want clear guidance on how these tools should be used responsibly.
The survey identified two key concerns: the accuracy of AI-generated information and the protection of confidential company and customer data.
The most common request was straightforward—clear guidance on what is and is not acceptable when using AI. Feedback also showed that employees are generally comfortable with AI solutions accessing internal business information, provided appropriate safeguards and security controls are in place.
As interest in AI continues to grow, so too does the importance of strong cybersecurity practices.
Recent warnings from the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) have highlighted actively exploited vulnerabilities affecting both Linux and Microsoft Windows systems. These vulnerabilities demonstrate how quickly attackers can take advantage of security weaknesses and why timely updates, patching, and system maintenance remain critical.
Cyber threats continue to grow. In 2025, researchers found more security flaws being exploited by attackers than in the previous year, often targeting the systems companies use to manage access and protect their networks.
Recent high-profile breaches also illustrate the impact a single security weakness can have. Incidents affecting organizations such as Canvas and Conduent exposed large volumes of sensitive information after attackers gained access through compromised credentials and other security gaps. In many cases, a single compromised account or reused password was enough to create significant business risk.
Whether we're exploring new AI capabilities or carrying out our day-to-day work, security remains a shared responsibility.
