Project Crescendo has crossed the finish line, and the system is officially live and in production for PCC. Following a Go-Live cutover over the May 28–31 weekend, the solution launched right on schedule, and the team has since shifted into post-Go-Live stabilization and closeout. In short: the hard part is behind us, and it landed.
The journey to Go-Live covered the entire project, from planning and development through testing, system integrations, data migration, training, and final readiness activities. During Q2, testing was extended to address issues in the WorldPay (payments), Avalara (tax processing), and Windmill (document management) were all critical systems that needed to be fully tested before launch. The team also completed a full rehearsal of the transition from the old system to the new one, helping to identify and resolve issues before Go-Live.
In summary, the Go-Live was a success. The transition to the new system was completed within the revised timeline, and the core system and key integrations are running smoothly. PCC is now operating in the live production environment as part of its day-to-day business activities. A small number of post-Go-Live items remain open, and the team is actively working through them as part of the stabilization phase. A Lessons Learned session has also been completed to capture what worked well throughout the project and identify best practices that can be applied to future initiatives.
What a journey this has been. From the earliest Blueprinting workshops to the final Go-Live push, the PCC team showed up, rolled up its sleeves, and turned every roadblock into a rearview mirror. The late nights on WorldPay, the Avalara puzzles, the Windmill wrangling, the Dry Run drills, none of it slowed the team down for long. They debugged, they problem-solved, and they successfully delivered a live system that PCC is now using every single day. That is no small feat, and it happened because of the people behind it.
There is still a bit of cleanup ahead as the last open items get closed out, and based on everything achieved so far, there is every reason to be confident these final items will be completed successfully. For now, this milestone is worth celebrating. It is the result of months of effort, teamwork, and commitment, and it creates a strong foundation for future projects.
