"Simplify to Win": Spotlight on Excellence – And the Winner Is…

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our Simplify to Win challenge in 2025. Your creativity and commitment to making work easier and more effective have truly inspired us. From streamlining processes to improving collaboration, your ideas are helping us work smarter every day.

We received some incredible examples of "Simplify to Win", including:

  • Carlo Labianca Jr. collaborated with Aviall to secure additional discounts on Aviall products, achieving cost savings through strategic shelf-life management tailored to applicable customers.
  • Jolie Key improved the invoice entry process for multi-line PO's in Crescendo, reducing errors.
  • Bill Crowley worked with Amanda Martinez to send targeted sales e-blasts via Hubspot, streamlining GR announcements by eliminating manual email creation. This approach saved significant time, uncovered additional business opportunities, and allowed customers to feel as though they were receiving personalized attention.
  • Lee Sawyer has been working on time-to-hire and interview steps – making recruitment more efficient.
  • Luke Hawkesford has been focusing on relationships across the business, fostering open communication, supporting teams, and building a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Deon Gichoga tackled the need to shift from problem-focused to solution-driven thinking. Deon introduced a Jeopardy-style game addressing real team pain points like communication clashes and resource roadblocks. Using survey insights, the team collaborated during a one-hour session to brainstorm actionable ideas and foster open dialogue. The exercise not only encouraged teamwork but also generated practical solutions that will benefit the Wichita ASR team and beyond.
  • Account Services Team (GracoRoberts) aimed to reduce delays and missed opportunities. The team updated the Buyer Quote (BQ) process, so expired pricing can be quickly adjusted with a manual percentage increase. They also streamlined Secondary Quality Check (QC) by raising the threshold to $25K, cutting unnecessary checks and improving order entry speed—while reinforcing accountability to “Do it right the first time.”

Simplifying processes isn’t just about saving time—it’s about creating better experiences for our teams and customers. A big thank you to everyone embracing ‘Simplify to Win,’ and to the outstanding team members above for sharing their inspiring examples.

Drum roll please........And now, we’re thrilled to announce our winner of Simplify to Win challenge!
