Introducing our Engagement Committees Across the Group
Across our family of brands, one thing continues to stand out – our people. Behind the scenes, our Engagement Committees have been working hard to bring colleagues together, create meaningful moments, and foster a culture where everyone feels connected and valued.
What Are Engagement Committees?
Our Engagement Committees are employee-led groups dedicated to enhancing workplace culture. They exist to:
- Bring people together across teams and sites
- Create opportunities for connection and collaboration
- Celebrate milestones, achievements, and diversity
- Build a positive, engaging environment where everyone can thrive
We created these committees to ensure that engagement is driven by the people, for the people. By empowering colleagues at each site to shape activities and events, we’re able to create experiences that truly reflect each team’s unique culture.
What Our Locations Have Been Up To
It has been fantastic to see the creativity, energy, and dedication across all locations. Here are just some of the highlights:
Silmid
Meet our Silmid Engagement Team: Emma Allden, Melissa Clamp, Kieran Barrett, Courtenay Green-Thompson and Sam Danks
Silmid has delivered an exciting mix of social events and celebrations. From a Greek food truck and traditional fish and chips, to a World Cup sweepstake, there’s been something for everyone.
Looking ahead, July will bring a Summer Fayre to celebrate the FIFA World Cup Final, complete with a food van, desserts, and prize giveaways from the sweepstake – a great way to bring the whole team together.

SkyGeek
Meet our SkyGeek Engagement Team: Judith Perez, Audrey Jarry and Tyra Perry
Since May the team have implemented several initiatives for the SkyGeek family.
For each employee's birthday, they receive a thoughtful note from SkyGeek, which has beautifully put together in the form of a card, along with a chocolate bar. These are placed on their desks before they arrive at work to help make their day special.
There is also an exciting event coming up on July 22nd—our FIFA Field Day! The event will feature a variety of activities, including soccer, a water balloon toss, Giant Jenga and a taco truck on-site to provide lunch for everyone.
In addition, the committee maintains an events board for both the warehouse and office teams, ensuring that everyone stays informed about upcoming activities and important updates.
Fife/PCC
Meet our Fife Engagement Team: Kristen Guesman and Lacy Jones
The Fife Engagement Committee, led by Kristen and Lacy, has been focused on building momentum and creating consistent moments of celebration.
- A birthday celebration event kicked things off in May with pizza, games, and recognition for earlier birthdays in the year.
- June saw a special celebration for Matt’s birthday with brownies and ice cream.
- A thoughtful Father’s Day lunch was provided to celebrate dads across the site.
Looking ahead, there are plans to introduce monthly birthday celebrations, ensuring every colleague is recognized. While the ERP system launch is keeping the team busy, plans are already underway to bring more events to the calendar soon.
