Mid-Year Performance Reviews Are Live!
The Mid-Year Review process is officially underway, building on the performance review framework introduced in October 2024.
Insights from focus groups in 2024 highlighted a strong desire for a mid-year “check- in” to reflect on how things are going, alignment on goals, and support continued development. This insight shaped the launch of this check-in in the performance cycle.
Over the past few weeks, you should have received:
- Mid-Year Review Guidelines
- Goal Setting Guidelines
- Training Video on Goals
- Invitations to June training sessions
If you missed these resources or did not attend a training session, please contact People Services.
What’s the Purpose?
The Mid-Year Review is designed to be a meaningful check-in conversation between employees and managers. It’s a chance to:
- Reflect on performance and progress since January
- Revisit or establish goals for the remainder of the year
- Share feedback with managers
How Does It Work?
The process is consistent across platforms:
- In the US, use the Performance Management section of ExponentHR
- In the UK, use the Logbooks feature of PeopleHR
Employees complete:
- A self-review of performance to date
- Feedback for their manager
Managers complete:
- What’s going well
- Areas for improvement
- Current “flight status”
Key Dates
- Launch Date: June 16th
- Completion Deadline: July 31st
Direct line managers will provide individual deadlines for completing the employee section.
What’s Next?
In August, you will receive a follow-up survey to gather feedback on the Mid-Year Review process. Your insights will help shape future improvements and ensure the process remains meaningful and effective.
This is a great opportunity to reflect, realign, and refocus for the second half of the year. Thank you for your continued commitment to sharing feedback and supporting each other!
