Deon Gichoga, GracoRoberts - 15-Year Anniversary on August 15th
Congratulations, Deon, on this impressive milestone in your career!
In the several years that I have known Deon, she has always been a go-to person who is passionate about growth, not only her own, but also the growth and success of those around her. Her exceptional training and coaching skills have helped countless team members develop professionally, and many of the people she has mentored have gone on to earn promotions. While those employees had the support of their managers, Deon played a significant role in their development and success
Deon’s own career journey is equally impressive. In just a few years she has grown from Account Specialist to Key Account Specialist, and now she is expanding her expertise even further by taking on the additional role of Key Account and Paint Technical Specialist and excelling at that. Her commitment to continuous learning and professional development is truly inspiring. One of Deon’s greatest strengths is her ability to identify challenges and develop creative solutions. I’m pretty sure “Creativity” is Deon’s middle name, although I haven’t seen her birth certificate to confirm it. If creativity were an Olympic sport, Deon would have a few gold medals by now, I am sure.
Deon genuinely cares about the people she works with, consistently goes above and beyond for our customers, and remains focused on solving problems while bringing fun, and innovation into the workplace. The list of her contributions could go on and on. Anyone who has worked with Deon knows how passionate she is about exceeding customer expectations and delivering results. What many may not see, however, is the tremendous amount of work she does behind the scenes as she balances significant responsibilities while continuing to foster a positive and supportive environment. Her impact extends far beyond her immediate office in Wichita. She brings people together across locations and demonstrates that we can build an inclusive culture, overcome challenges as a team, and still have fun along the way. I couldn’t be more grateful to have Deon as part of our team. She exemplifies what great leadership, teamwork, and dedication look like, and I am excited to see her continue to grow and shine both personally and professionally.
Deon, thank you for your 15 years of hard work, care, creativity, and commitment. Your contributions have made a lasting impact on so many people, and we are all better because of it.
